To a beginner stopping by, I would say machine learning is just like the name itself suggests “a machine learning”.
Just like how we as human beings learn from crawling to standing on our own feet to running, so does a machine.
Now will a machine run alongside us?
Yes it could!
And just like that, the possibility of applications of machine learning are endless.
From healthcare, finance, e-commerce to advertisement, machine learning surrounds us in our everyday life.
Again, just like the name suggests, it’s a learning that involves supervision, like when we were taught to match images of fruit to their names.
Well machines are the smarter kids that dont make spelling mistakes.
But with lesser learning or no learning like the kid that did not study for the exam, they fail at matching too.
More technically we refer to it as underfitting.
